"Request sign-off" flow disappeared from available flows

I had several sites set up, they all had the Request sign-off flow defined & worked perfectly. A few days ago this flow stopped appearing in the flows list.

I'm not able to find a setting to bring it back. This is similar to this thread, only the solution doesn't work.

Appreciate any help.

I have noticed that it sometimes takes a while for Request Sign-off to appear once I select a document and click on the Flow dropdown.

Have your tried turning "Do you want approvals" off and then on again?

    Hi,

Not familiar with "Do you want approvals?" setting, can you point me to it?

I am referring the the setting in the Flow Configuration options screen - you included a screen shot.

Right. This doesn't seem to work.

Could it perhaps be related to the site definition? The site I'm using it defined as a "Group", while in an older Site which is not defined as a "Group" the flow exists. It existed in both before.

two other things to check (Both of which have caught me before)

    1) The Request Signoff only works when the library is in Modern view.  If you switch to classic you won't see it.

    2) one and only one document has to be selected before it will show in the dropdown.

    hi,

I'm in modern view..tried going back & forth, didn't help. and selecting one document at a time.

like I said, there's another site in which the flow still does exist, so I'm thinking it's just some setting that might have changed or something..

I managed to find the setting that disabled the “Request sign-off” workflow. It’s the setting in the picture, which has nothing to do with the workflow, which makes me think it’s a bug.

When checked as “Yes”, the “Request sign-off” workflow doesn’t appear in the available flows. When checked “No”, it’s back there.

Anyone experience/able to reproduce this behaviour?

Its not realy a bug.  Its a side effect of how the Request-SignOff Flow works.  The problem is that the Request-SignOff Flow makes changes to the metadata of the document to keep track of status.  If Signout is required then the the Flow can't make those changes.  So if that feature is turned on then the Flow is disabled because it can't do its job.

Had the same issue and the changing the require check-out setting back to "No" solved the issue. Does someone know how to use require check-out at the together with the request sign-off option?
