Rebuilding old flow with missing steps

Hi everyone,

Could anyone help me figure out what I'm missing from Pstork1's solution he kindly and patiently provided for me 5 years ago?

And this is how I've rebuilt it:

Unfortunately the 1st two screenshots are broken images, and when I was building it and slowly understanding (at the time) what I needed to do, I didn't follow-up with new screenshots of my corrections.

Thanks for any guidance.

By the way, the error message I get at the moment is The 'from' property value in the 'table' action inputs is of type 'String'. The value must be of type 'Array'. but I never had this before. I found a blog post about fixing it, but I wanted to know if I've made a mistake which is causing this.

Which action is throwing an error? Can you share a screenshot of the action when it fails?

This action needs an array, but you are giving it a string,

Make this an array variable instead of a string and make it's initial value [] or ["First"] if you want to keep the first value as being "first"

Replace this action with an append to array variable.

These should both be append to array variable actions too.

Might be a few other things to fix, but this should be a big step in the right direction.

Hi @BB-18031745-0, thank you for your reply.

It would be really helpful to understand why these changes have to be made from what Pstork1 shared originally, that way I can learn better the reasons behind my actions.

    Thanks again

edit: I really hate how you can't reply to a comment in thread form. The action that throws an error is the HTML table stage.

Hey, I was a bit hasty with my response, it looks like you might only need to change one thing.

Here you are using varManager, but looking at the original thread, I believe it should be varTraining.

This is assuming this action is causing the error, if the error is happening somewhere else, please provide additional screenshots.

Hi @BB-18031745-0, I noticed that too so I changed it and a new error came about! I am not back at work until Tuesday but I will pick it back up then. The new error message is The property 'columns' must be specified unless the 'from' property value is an array of objects. - so I must've made another mistake somewhere too.

Thanks a lot for validating that.

From your screenshots it looks like we are always handing both create html table actions arrays of objects.
Please look at what your are inputting into the actions when it's failing and post additional screenshots if possible.

Hi @BB-18031745-0, both the create html fields contain varTraining like in Pstork's screenshots. This is what I'm following: https://community.powerplatform.com/forums/thread/details/?commentid=680e57c7-2be1-4a19-b9f3-fc5d1e4aeebd

    I think I found the issue, you are using square brackets [] here where you should be using curly brackets {}

Hi @BB-18031745-0, WOW, I really need to replace my broken glasses. The flow now works functionally. Thank you very much.

Now I just have to figure out tomorrow why the flow isn't separating my list of managers and their reports but mixing them all up in the same table.
