PDF could not open (after Convert Word Document to PDF)

Hi everyone,

Hope someone can help me: I have a lot of flows that are converting Word documents to PDF. Most of the time it works fine. But sometimes the PDF won't open after it is being saved. There is nothing different in the actions that I use (as far as I can see)...

Same flow, saving a PDF twice (the second time is after approval and with a picture of their signature) in the same folder (only the document name is slightly different).

The flow itself runs fine, it's just that I can't open the PDF afterwards.

First set of actions where it works fine:

PDF can openPDF can open

Second set of actions, where (in this case) the PDF cannot open (same flow, but after approval):

PDF can not openPDF can not open

The errors that I get while opening the PDF:

Opening the PDF in the browserOpening the PDF in the browser

Opening the PDF after downloadOpening the PDF after download

Opening the PDF with AcrobatOpening the PDF with Acrobat

Hope someone has a clue 🙂

I did not find a solution, but it seems like the action got corrupt (?). When I delete the actions  (Convert Word document to PDF and Create file) and put them in again, everything works fine ✅.

I've learned a couple of things from this and other experiences (disappearing input in actions after saving):

    1. When I edit a flow, first make a copy of it!
    2. Check the actions that do not 'feel stable' before hitting 'Save' (so that you know when it happens if it happens)
    3. Save the flow
    4. Check the actions to see if everything looks fine after saving (no disappearing input?).
    5. If it has happened: maybe giving the flow a 'resfresh' (in the browser) will help
    6. If it has happened: check the 'peek code' option to see if you can see something strange or if the action is REALLY empty.

    Hope this helps.
