SFTP-SSH Get File Content 404 Error

Hi,

I've been using the SFTP-SSH connector for a few weeks, and at the beginning of the week (around 3rd November) the "Get File Content" control stopped being able to access files on my server, despite my own client being able to. Originally I was using the "List files in folder" control and looping over its response (and this continues to work), but have peeled the flow back to select only a known file and still the error persists.

The error response is "404"; "The provided path '[path of legit file that exists]' does not exist.

I'm using private key authentication, so that takes a second or two, and the error response from the Get File Content is given after 4 seconds - I wonder if there's an issue with a timeout on the backend service in power automate? Certainly selecting a file in the flow setup seems to take as long as or longer than this error response. The file definitely exists, as I've selected it!

Thanks,

Adam

The problem can also appear if the FTP server is not on the newest version.

    Hi,

I had the same issue occure when building a flow. I found out that the SFTP connector cannot recognize german umlauts. Example datenübertragung must be datenuebertragung. Hope this helps.

Unfortunately, no. We went with a completely different solution.

Hi murshed, I have the same problem. My file names have no spaces and are excel files.

I'm getting the same error, but it's even worse on my end.

I'm retrieving the file using the ID. The error I get back is "The the provided path '/rootfoldername/filename' does not exist." Apparently the ID I'm using is correct as the file name shown is correct (recall, I provided the ID not the file name), but somehow it's telling me that the path does not exist. If I get the file metadata using the same ID, it seems to work fine.

    Very strange.

    Hi @awtmarriottseko ,

Did you try with a simple test file? For example, create a simple test.txt in the host and see if you can access it. We need to rule out if file name with spaces or unicode is the root cause. Please let me know what you find.
