Hi All,

We have an Azure function app which was configured in private endpoint. I am trying to call one of its azure functions from Power automate flow using HTTP action. But this HTTP action is getting failed and shows below error

"BadRequestHttp request failed with status code 'ConnectFailure' and status message: 'Unable to connect to the remote server'."

Request your help to understand if any additional inputs needs to be added in the flow

    Hey @Sandeep94

Recently I was trying to do the same for one private end point. And I was getting same error. For this we had to open the firewall on Azure end to get it connected to Power Automate.

Can you try to do the same on Postman once. If the same happens on it as well. Then you will have to talk to your team to open firewalls for requests coming from Power Automate.

Hi @Sandeep94 - Could you please let us know if this worked? Or if you have found another workaround to achieve this scenario?

Hi, the reason is that the Power Platform environment has to be configured for the VNET https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/vnet-support-overview.

Furthermore connecting with the HTTP connector to a private endpoint is not yet supported. However using a custom connector should work.

We're in a similar boat, looking to use REST APIs with our Power Automate flow. Our REST API services are hosted in Azure's Central US and East US2 regions, they're restricted to internal access and not available to the public/internet. The link below indicates that the regions supported for creating a VNet and connecting it to the Power Platform environment don’t match where our services are located. Will there be any support for Azure's Central US and East US2 regions. If anyone has experienced this, your insights would be really helpful.

What you can do it is to allow Microsoft services to connect to your API. Using service tag based rule you can select to use Power Platform apps and it will allow to your power automate to make call request to your azure function.

    try these two rules below.
