Enter data into accounting software (automate JE's)

Hello!

So this is my first post but I have been using power automate for many different use cases over the past 2 years but I have come across and issue I cannot resolve. I want to write a flow that enters data into the web based accounting software for work, but I can't seem to get it to detect any fields in the software to put data in. (For you accountants, I am trying to automate monthly and daily journal entries) The software is called M3 and the fields seem like they would be easy to detect but I am having no luck. Any advice or solution anyone is aware of?

Thanks in advance!

Not a perfect solution, but wondering if you could try kestrokes/tabs/etcs....if it's consistent enough. Another option could be using images to help you navigate and click.

Is it a Java application? I've had success building/running Java apps on my laptop, however if I try to build it on a VM, no luck....

    Hi!

It is not a Java application unfortunately. I have tried the keystrokes and tab approach but that only seems to work if it can identify the first field, which I have got that to work but only in the current entry I am in. Once it has been entered, I have to reidentify the first field again.

Yes you will have to identify and add one UI element on each screen and then using keystrokes will have to navigate.

If that is too cumbersome then also try to see if Infor M3 has an API for the transaction you are performing and then call it via PAD Invoke Web services.
