Send an email based on a forms response

I have a Microsoft Form, and based on the answer to a specific question, I want Power Automate to send the form via email for approval to a specific individual based on that answer. I created a flow, and tried to set up the condition, but i amm not receiving any emails.

Any suggestions? Thank you!

Put a compose box right under the form, and place the field you are trying to check in your condition in the compose box and run the flow. Look at the output of the compose step after it runs. You need the answer in your condition box to be this value exactly with no white space. The condition box is very tricky. Is the condition coming out true or false?

Another potential cause for the issue - Assuming your inputs in the Condition are correct and your problem is happening in the Send an email action (and not in the Send and wait for an approval), you will not receive any email before the Approval request is responded.

This is happening because the Send and wait for an approval action pauses the flow while the request is being processed. If you want to keep moving with the flow independent on the approval's response, you can use a Create approval action instead, and manage the response in a separated flow. You can find an step-by-step on how to implement this approach in this blog, and part of this process is also represented in this video.

If you are still experiencing the problem even after the Send and wait for an approval action, please share an image of your flow run.

I am new to Power Automate, would you be able to clarify what Compose action is, how to add it to the flow, and how to view its output after the flow runs? additionally, if you have any tips on setting up the condition correctly and determining whether it is evaluating to true or false that would be great as well.
