SFTP - SSH Connector uses obsolete SHA-1–based authentication

The SFTP - SSH Connector insists on using obsolete SHA-1–based authentication (developed in 1995). giving no ability to change this even for admin users.

A key SFTP server I need to use has recently disabled SHA-1–based authentication due to it being a security risk; which has broken a key Power Automate Flow. This is the only method of data transfer available and the provider will not reduce security to compensate for Microsoft's poor functionality.

Really there needs to be an exceptionally high priority project run by Microsoft to upgrade this connector so it is fit for the 21st century.

This is a known Microsoft connector limitation with no fix inside Power Automate right now. Two ways to unblock yourself:
    1. Azure Function as middleware  replace the SFTP-SSH action in your flow with an HTTP action that calls an Azure Function.
The function handles the actual SFTP transfer using Paramiko (Python) or SSH.NET (C#), both of which support modern algorithms like SHA-256 and Ed25519 out of the box.

    2. Azure Data Factory  if it is purely file movement, the ADF SFTP connector has broader algorithm support.
Worth a quick test before building a function.

Also worth posting on the Power Automate Ideas board to push Microsoft to fix the connector properly.

    Best regards,

    Valantis

Sorry, my Flow is broken for the long term as Microsoft couldn't care less about my problem.  suggestions are probably helpful to some people; but all rely on things I don't have access to.
