Trigger Schedule Flow manually

Hi I have several scheduled flows that trigger at 6 hour intervals, these feed data in to some of my PowerApps from snowflake.

occasionally the end user may need data that has recently input but would not show in in the data set. I want the user to to be able to trigger the scheduled flow manually via a button in power apps. I know i cannot add the flow in to power apps so i was thinking to trigger via a link but I cannot find a trigger web link? Can this be done?

Thanks

    Hi @MRBCODC

    Copy your flow:

and switch the trigger from Schedule to PowerApp and then connect it to your PowerApp through a button.

AFAIK there is no way to overrule the trigger by http call etc.

Hi @Heartholme, thanks for the quick reply.

I have found a workaround, I have created a new flow with power apps as a trigger and I am resubmitting a previous flow, as the flow runs a fresh query every time this works for me. It also saves managing two version of each flow if I need to make a change in the future flow.

    Thanks

I was going to say you could also have your Recurrence flow and your Manual flow (Power App) both call a child flow that contains the main logic. Then you just need to update the child flow if anything changes, etc.

Would you have done it a different way to what I have done? I do find it strange you cannot run a flow with in a flow and only resubmit a flow that’s already been ran?

    Smart.

Now the flow you resubmit is not kept forever ?

The flow history only shows 28 days.
