Identifying file

HI!

Im a PowerAutomate rookie and have been trying to complete a flow for quite a while and can't get it to run.

The main goal of this flow is to be able to:
1. Identify when a new file is created in a specific folder
2. Get the ID, or something, of the file that allows me to view and modify its contents (This is the step I'm having trouble with)
3. Copy and paste information within that file to another file
4. Have an action like "Delete file" or "move to" at the end
5. Send an email message to verify completion

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
If there is a better way, I'm all ears!

    Except for the step of copying and pasting information from one file to another, this is what you would do:

    Since you're only having an issue with getting the file identifier, this should give you what you need. The file identifier is provided with the trigger:

    {
        "inputs""@triggerBody()?['{Identifier}']"
    }

    It looks like this one was done in the PADesktop. I'm trying to do mine in the web app. Am I able to create a cloud flow from the Desktop app?
    I am using the first connector similar to your's but it all breaks down after I try to use the file's id to get to it and then read and write. See below

    Update*

    I made it work using the following in the web application (See picture below).
    @David_MA I did learn to use the identifier on the get file metadata action from your suggestion. Thanks for posting!

    Now what I need to do is
    3. Copy and paste information within that file to another file
    4. Have an action like "Delete file" or "move to" at the end
    5. Send an email message to verify completion

    I'll keep updating this as I progress :)

    Cloud flows cannot be created with Power Automate Desktop. You need to create cloud flows from https://make.powerautomate.com/
