Help needed - Move email to new folder under certain conditions

Hi,

I'm fairly inexperienced on Power Automate, and finding this a challenge.

I'm looking to move emails from my inbox to a new folder if they contain a 10 digit number that starts with 0,1,2 or 3. This 10 digit code could be in the subject or body of the email.

I've setup a flow that uses regex/office scripts to find emails with these 10 digit numbers, but I'm now struggling with how to move them to the new folder now. Maybe that's not the best way to do it?

Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Thanks

    Hi @CU30011241-0,

Instead of using an Excel script, you can try AI Builder Prompt. You can provide the input and design a prompt to validate the number. If the condition is satisfied, it will return a true/false value. Based on this boolean result, you can move the email from one inbox folder to another using the Move Email (V2) action, as described in the link below.

    Thanks.

I would like to understand the business requirement in details, if moving of emails to specific folder is only the requirement. Have you heard of the Rules in the Mail Box.

You can create a rule in the Mail box which can serve your purpose.
