Cannot open Excel file with external data connections

I have an excel file that I would like to refresh automatically, but the issue is it has external data connections so I'm having issues actually opening the file. When you open this file it requires you to enter a password in order to access the external database and I don't know how to make PAD do this. I've tried the recorder but it didn't help at all. Any help would be appreciated!

Hello,

You could try using Send Keys activities to acces the fields if PAD cannot recognize the fields.. And then Send Keys activities again to write into the fields.

When you say, "recorder didn't help", - what does that mean exactly?
What action did it record?
What errors did you get when you executed these recorded actions?
Did you try to use UI automation actions to populate text filed in the windows?
If yes, what errors did you get?
As @OkanAT said, sending a key could do the trick if none of the above works.

@OkanAT @momlo - Thank you both for the replies, I finally figured what I was doing wrong. When I was copying the file path I was leaving the quotations in the file path name "C:\FilePath\Excel.xlsm". It should just be C:\FilePath\Excel.xlsm
