How to click dynamic UI element in window?

Hi Dear,

I have a issue on capture a dynamic UI element in PAD, I'd like to deal with dynamic IDs and do a change in system based on the respective ID, so I change UI element with yellow(there is a space after UI element), but it doesn't work...could you help on this issue?

Hi @Jack_32782047

As you set the variable of PR and it is returning value 0, So if you want to click if the name is PR then you can Select Starts with and in the value just put PR and try

Hi Srini,

thanks for help.
I had a try, but the issue is still there...
the output of the variable is the first PR# in list.

In the selector if you closely look there was some difference in the Name, it shouldbe only Name not the Name^

Hi Srini,

Thanks, as you said I change operator to 'start with', so Name^ showed in preview field...
if change it back to 'equal to', will be only Name.

Oh sorry, as you are passing the entire value, then you don't need of selecting the start with, it will be equal only

Maybe the value you are passing from Excel is getting as some whitespaces, so after the value you can place trim text action, so that it will remove any unwanted spaces, can you try with this?

Also, before click uielement place some delay as well

When I captured UI element from window, the UI value is PR# with a space, see below...
So I put a space after variable:''%PR% '' .....
PAD doesn't allow 'variable+space' as a value?

It's a common bug in PAD that variables in selectors do not work, unless you enable the Text editor for the selector. Please enable this toggle and then pass the variable value. It should work then.
