Automate saving received files in Teams chat

Hi, for any file that is sent to me via Teams chat, is there a way to trigger a flow to save it somewhere (one drive, sharepoint, etc)?

I would like to capture files sent from all chats.

Thanks!

Brook

These are the default triggers for Microsoft Teams. Unfortunately, there isn't a generic one for "Any Teams Chat Message".

There are a couple of options. If the messages are part of a Channel, there is a native trigger for that shown above. If not, and they are all "chats", you have 3 other options.

Options 1 and 2 are similar, 1 being you are @mentioned and 2 being by keyword. These would trigger if someone mentioned or says a specific keyword such as "fileattached".

Option 3 would not be automatic, but you can add a "for a selected message" trigger using an adaptive card. This will give you additional options on the chat message under the ellipsis:

In this case, when I click on the "Follow up on a message" button, I get an adaptive card with buttons for different time periods and after that time, it reminds me about the message to follow up. This could be adapted to save attachments.

This site gives a breakdown on how to make option 3 work:
