Hi team,
I have a flow built-in Power Automate application & want to understand if I can add steps to click a link on the website.
Please let me know if you need additional informationI really appreciate any help you can provide.
Assuming you already start a browser and go to a web site, and have the link visible...
Add this Action: Browser automation / Click link on web page
It will need the UI element - you can add one right there and point it at your page and link text/button/image. Just be aware that some UI elements require editing the link to maybe look for class instead of id, for instance.
Thanks for the reply!
I have tried the action but it throws an error
Error - Microsoft.Flow.RPA.Desktop.Robin.SDK.ActionException: Element with selector '> body > app-root > div[Class="body row1 scroll-y"] > app-rpa1 > div[Class="row parent"] > div[Class="instructions col s3 m3 l3 uiColorSecondary"] > div:eq(5) > a[Class=" col s12 m12 l12 btn waves-effect waves-light uiColorPrimary center"]' not found.at Microsoft.Flow.RPA.Desktop.Modules.WebAutomation.Actions.ClickBase.Execute(ActionContext context)at Microsoft.Flow.RPA.Desktop.Robin.Engine.ActionRunner.RunAction(String action, Dictionary`2 inputArguments, Dictionary`2 outputArguments, IActionStatement statement)
It's hard to tell, but I wonder about the class tags. Maybe those change from run to run? Could you use the ID tag instead? Did using F12 in the browser window help? I've occasionally had good luck disabling the higher up tags, so for instance just use a[Class=" col s12 m12 l12 btn waves-effect waves-light uiColorPrimary center"] and see if it finds that.
Hi @LogicSmith
Unfortunately, I'm using work laptop & cannot use F12 key.Any alternate for the same?
Your company is so locked down that F12 doesn't work in any browser? If so, that's messed up. How were you able to install the app or browser extension to start with? At this point all I can suggest is to talk to your IT people.
As for the UI tag, did you try unchecking the upper levels and just looking for that last tag?
To install the app, I had to get in touch with the IT team to get admin credentials & download it in the system.
Ask them to enable F12 in the browser? It sure does make life easier...
If you're using Edge, check this: go to system settings (or enter edge://settings/system in the URL bar.
Scroll to the bottom of the page.
Make sure this is enabled...
