Hello All,
I need a solution for a Power Automata Desktop Flow. We had a Power Automata Desktop flow configured and running 4 months back. Post that we did not use the flow. Now after 4 months we see the flow got deleted. We are not sure why. Can anyone tell me the reason for the flow disappearing from the Power Automat Desktop.

Appreciate if anyone can help on this.
I have the same question (0)

Desktop flows aren't normally deleted automatically.  But they may disappear from your desktop client if you change the type of login you are using.  PAD is pre-installed on Windows 11 which will normally use a Microsoft account for login.  If you were to later login in to PAD using a Work or School account you wouldn't see the previous flows because they are stored in a different place.

    Hello @Pstork1
    Thank you for your reply.
We have checked on this too. We are using the same login as before.

    Hi @ ,

PAD does not auto delete flows because they were inactive.

If the flow is missing after 4 months, something changed. Most likely,

    • You are in the wrong environment.
    • The environment (especially trial) was deleted.
    • An admin or co-owner removed the flow.
    • You’re logged in with a different account.
    • License or tenant access changed.

Desktop flows are stored in Dataverse, not just locally. First check the environment and the exact account used when the flow was created. That’s usually where the issue is.

Thank you so much for your reply.
As you said, we noticed that the Power Automata premium License has expired for the particular Account.

May be that's the reason Power Automata Desktop flow disappeared. Is there any way we can recover it please

A Work or School Account with a Premium License can store a Desktop flow in any environment.  Without a Premium License they will all be stored in the default environment. If you are using the same login and the flows were stored in a different environment getting a new Premium License and switching to that environment should let you access the flows again.

Environments are disabled and deleted after 90 days of no use. So if the flows were stored in an environment that was deleted then there is no way to get them back.

Thank you so much for your reply.

We were able to retrieve the flow from the web version of Power Automate in the Desktop flow option.
