Cloud flows run in the Microsoft data centre and are not aware of your local resources. You need some kind of mechanism to connect to your local N drive/shared drive. That's why you would need a gateway for this.
Alternatively, you might be able to use an attended desktop flow. But attended means it will only run when you are logged on to your machine. Which means it the flow could interact with your N drive/shared drive.
