[Error] Connection Reference given by invoker

Hello,

I am facing the following issue with two users of my application. Both users have access to the SharePoint site and to the application. All other users of the application do not experience this issue.

The ChangeStatutDemande flow is shared as a run-only flow with the security group that includes all application users.

However, for these two specific users, I am encountering the following issue when they attempt to use the ChangeStatutDemande flow from within the application.

The application is used in a production environment and is part of a managed solution.

I would appreciate any advice or recommendations on how to investigate and resolve this issue.

If your Power App works for you but gives a couple of users a “connection given by invoker” error, you’re likely dealing with a simple configuration issue. It’s not your app logic or SharePoint permissions, it’s just how the flow connection is set up.

    Why it happens

By default, some flows expect the user triggering them to provide their own SharePoint connection. If those users haven’t set one up (or it’s not valid), the flow fails because it can’t act on their behalf.

    Easiest fix

    1. Open the flow in Power Automate (outside the editor)
    2. Go to Run-only users
    3. Click Edit
    4. Under Connections Used, find the SharePoint connection
    5. Change it from:
      • Provided by run-only user
        to
      • Use this connection (your account)
    6. Save

This makes the flow always use your connection, so every user can run it without needing to configure anything on their side.

Did you check their licenses, maybe one is not active or not a premium connector?
