Order Number changes after submission

I'm encountering a weird problem.  I have a workflow that when a new item is added in a list, it creates a new item in a different list that generates an order number based on the Created field of the original item.  The order number is formatted as yy-MMddhhmmss.  When the item first appears, the order number shows correctly.  Then a few seconds later the order number changes completely.  Example, an order that originally shows up as 26-0323195633 is transformed into 2026362320nn39 a few moments later.  I'm using the order number as the title in the secondary list.  Can anyone advises what might be causing this?

    Hi @ES-20031612-0
I’d try a quick test first: create an extra Single line of text column (e.g. OrderNumber) and save the generated value there instead of using Title.

My suspicion is that SharePoint is either trying to treat the Title value as a date/number or it’s being recalculated shortly after creation.

If the value stays stable in a normal text column, then the issue is almost certainly related to how Title is handled internally.

    Hello,

Is it changing the format as well? (26-0323195633 is transformed into 2026362320nn39)
Could you please confirm is there any other flow tied to second list which updates the order?

    Thank you.

Please share screen shots of your flow and the configuration of the action that is setting the value in the secondary list. Also show the configuration of the field you are trying to populate in the second list. Without seeing what you are doing, we can only make assumptions and guesses.
