Flow is trigger when turn on

Hi,

Print screen below is the standard reminder flow I'm using.

Due Date Flow.png

I set 2 days to remind. I have tested it and working fine. After tested, I decided to use it and turn it on. The flow is suppose to send reminder on 8th August 2019. But a reminder email was sent right after I turned on the flow on 7th August 2019. Next day, another email reminder was sent on 8th August 2019 and this is correct. Did anyone experienced the same? Flow is triggered and executed when turn on and didn't follow the conditions have been set?

I noticed few are posted issue on Flow only trigger when they turn off and turn on it, which should works automatically. I'm interested to know the common problems on this to avoid any flow is fail to trigger automatically.

Thanks in advance.

    Hi @Anonymous

So when you create a reminder flow, it does fire off the moment you create it. Now based on the conditon (2 days as you have set) there must be an item in the List that meets the condition and the flow notifies you of the same. if there was no condition that was satisfied, the flow runs but you will not get any email.

This happens just one time and then the flow runs only on the schedule provided and now if you come back and deactivate (turn off) the flow, it will not fire after you turn it on until the schedule is met.

    Hope this Helps!

    Hi @yashag2255 ,

As @yashag2255  said, the flow with trigger "Recurrence" and "Manually trigger a flow" would run automatically for the first time the flow is created when it is turn on.

    Best regards,

    Alice

Why would it do this.... so dumb. If I'm testing and editing my flow, which should be done while it's disabled/turned off, then once I turn it on, I don't want it to run twice... there's literally no way for me to not let it run twice unless I disable it after that initial run kicks off (after I've turned on the flow)? Then there's no point in automating this because if I have to turn it on and off every time...
