Why is Power Automate Desktop re-installed automatically after uninstallation on Windows 10?

Hi,

I have tried uninstallation 3 times. Although every time it displayed that the uninstallation has been completed successfully, after Shutdown and Restart Windows 10 next day the PAD was always installed again automatically.

What's triggering the auto-installation?

Here's what I did and checked:

1. Manually deleted all the workflows in PAD.

2. Uninstalled PAD via Settings->Apps & features successfully.

3. Folder "C:\Program Files (x86)\Power Automate Desktop" has been removed after uninstallation.

4. Related tasks CAN'T be seen in Services and Task Manager/Details: "Microsoft.Flow.RPA.LauncherService.exe", "Microsoft.Flow.RPA.LogShipper.exe", "Microsoft.Flow.RPA.UpdateService.exe", "Microsoft.Management.Services.IntuneWindowsAgent.exe".

5. Shutdown & restart PC immediately, looks like everything is fine, PDA disappeared.

6. Next day, after shutdown & restart, PDA is re-installed.

    Hi @Anonymous ,

It's part of Windows 10/11 and most likely the root cause.

    Hi @trice602,

Many thanks for the prompt response.

But it doesn't happen to my colleague's /Windows10. No re-installation occurs on his PC.

When installing it the first time and uninstalling it later, administrator authority is required. But there is not reminding when system does the re-installation, it just passes the admin, it sounds wired.

For now, we have to disable the PAD services of on my PC.
