Excel connection - List rows present in a table - filter Query is not working properly

Hi,

I seem to have an issue with filter query( List rows present in a table action)

The flow I'm testing writes the data and then read the data from same spreadsheet.

In order to narrow down the data I thought I will add Filter Query.

What I noticed is that, when I add the filter query the recent row which got added would not be available in the output of (List rows present in a table action).

However, if I remove the filter query, then all data available in the output.

Has anyone experienced this before?

Below is my test flow.

    Hi @KushW ,

Using the filter query in List rows present in a table action in power automate may cause a delay in fetching the latest added data. You can try to add a Delay action and set an appropriate time before running List rows present in a table action. Or you can use the filter array action to filter the array instead of the filter query of the List rows present in a table action.

    Hei @v-dezhili-msft

Thanks for the helpful information. Now it make sense why the new values aren't in output.

There seems to be a limitation in number of rows retrieve by the List rows present in a table action.

How it would impact if I enable pagination from the performance point out view.

    Thank you 🙂

@KushW List rows present in a table will by default only return the first 256 rows. Setting Pagination and a Threshold will allow for more. There is definitely a performance hit, but not too bad depending on how many items you're talking about. Retrieving a lot of items (in the thousands) is fine, but if you're then going to do something with each of the items returned in an Apply to each for example, that would definitely give you a performance hit.

If you're just using the data returned in a Create HTML table, then returning thousands of items is fine. It would be a large HTML table though 🙂
