Attachment control does not allow attachment to display in PowerApps

Hi,

In my Canvas app I have an attachment control, end users have uploaded an image in .jpg when I attempt to open this in PowerApps I get the following error:

Lefty_0-1620118136541.png

I can still open the attachment in the SharePoint list, so I know it has correctly uploaded to SharePoint, but I am unsure why I cannot view it in PowerApps?

Thank You

    Hi @Lefty ,

    Please refer to below thread which met the same issue as in your App:

    https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Power-Apps/can-t-download-sharepoint-attachments-from-app/td-p/113858

    However, the Attachments control in the current version of Power Apps Studio does not have a Value property.

    Please try:

    1\ Remove the SP list data source from your current connections and re-add it.

    2\ Remove Attachments field from the Form and add it again.

    If this issue persists, please consider raise a ticket on support page:

    https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/support/

    Hope this helps.

    Hi @v-jefferni

    I have tried that, and removed the data source, and removed the attachment control, having now re-added the data source, it has accepted the connection but when trying  add the attachment control (or any other field), I have a message "This control isn't connected to any data yet" and the add field is greyed out. I've tried twice..... any suggestions?

    @Lefty

    Please Make sure
    Attachment Data Card --> DataField property is "{Attachments}"
    Attachment Data Card --> Default property is ThisItem.Attachments
    Attachment Data Card --> Update property is DataCardValue.Attachments

    Attachement Data Card Value --> Items property is Parent.Default

    Also recheck the Datasource of your form

    Please Thumbs up if my post helped you solve your issue.

    @v-jefferni @Sid_Jafri

    It appears the following was set to Id, and changing it to Value seems to resolve the issue in studio, should I look at the other properties as well?

    Hi @Lefty ,

    Value is correct and it is exact the solution provided in the linked thread from my last post.

    So change the Items property of Attachments control to "ThisItem.Attachments" would show up the detail properties of the control. I did not found it before, thanks to your screenshot.
