Dropdown default value not updating to selected gallery value

When I select a record in Gallery for the first time say on Screen1, it updates the default value of the dropdown and labels on Screen2. But when an action on Screen2 removes that record from the gallery and another record is selected automatically, all other controls update their default value on screen2 but the dropdown. It still has the old value, and if the new record is updated, that old value is written over for the new record causing issues.

I believe this is a bug. Can some one help here confirm this?

Thanks
ManishM

    Hi ManishM,

How is your app created? Does Screen2 have a DisplayForm control?

Please show me more details about your app to help reproduce this issue on my side.

Per my test, when I create an app based on SharePoint list which has a Lookup column automatically, then delete the selected item on the DisplayScreen, the selected record will be deleted and all the related values will not appear on the app again. Including the value for the Dropdown control.

    Best regards,

@v-yamao-msftThank you for trying to duplicate the issue.

App was created using PA + SP list

My screen 2 does not have DisplayFrom Control.

So my screen1 has a gallery of active projects. Upon selecting one, I click a button which takes me to the screen2. The button has the Navigate command. On Screen2 there are inputboxes, dropdowns, buttons, and datepicker controls. Basic controls to update a record. They all have their default value taken from the Gallery.Selected. One of the dropdowns is "Project Status".

When I select a status , say, "Completed Closed" that would remove the selected project from the active list in the gallery, and click a button to Update the record, it updates the record and clears the default values from all the Screen2 controls except for the dropdowns.

However, the Screen2 controls do get updated with the first entry values from the gallery (shown for a brief second) for their default values before returning to Screen1.

Now, when I want to update any other project from Screen1 and I click the button to navigate to Screen2, I see the old values in all the dropdowns. If I am not attentive and I click the Update button after changing anything on other controls for that project, the old values from the dropdown are also updated. In the case of updating the project status, the next project also gets "Completed Closed" and they are out of the gallery list throwing the team member into figuring where their project went :).

I think this is a bug that was not brought/existing before the last version of PA. any insight would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

    ManishM

    Any fix to this yet?

    Hello,

I'm reopening this because I am having a similary issue.  My form is attached to a Gallery.Selected on Item and after clicking on the first item and then the second it keeps the value from my SQL table from the first record showing.

Please assist or let me know if this is a bug.
