Almost unable to rename controls

When I try to rename controls it reverts to the old name while typing the new name. This behavior makes renaming very teadious and very frustrating as I have copied a lot of controls from other screens.

It's difficult to show the problem in a screenshot, as it is a "live" behavior, it happens when you are typing.

    Original name

    Editing activated

after typing two new characters it reverts to the original name, and the marker is moved to the end.

Understand, few causes which I have experieced like below :
    • The control is being referenced somewhere (e.g., formulas, components)
    • When you copy containers/screens:  Hidden dependencies come along or Name conflicts occur internally
    • Typing Too Fast / Not Committing Rename
Rename from Tree View Instead of top bar:
    • Open Tree View (left panel)
    • Right-click → Rename
    • Type → Press Enter

One more suggestion, you need to keep unique name in entire app. you can't use same name in the two different screens.

Thanks@11manish for your clarifications and suggestions.
I have been working in PowerApps for many years, and I know there are other approaches to this issue like renaming in Tree Bar, I am also well aware of the naming conventions in PowerApps, and the possible errors when copying controls.

However, the actual approach has worked fine before, so in my opinion is the problem I have encountered  a bug in PowerApps Studio.

@LennartWalldén yes it is a bug that appeared after the March update to modern controls.
