Relevance of Tagging Knowledge as "Official Source"

I cannot find any information that tagging knowledge in an agent as an "official source" has any impact or weighting in the functionality of the agent (at least with regard to agents using generative orchestration). Has anyone found that tagging certain knowledge sources as an official source has improved your agent? This is what I have found so far: Knowledge sources summary - Microsoft Copilot Studio | Microsoft Learn

Does anyone know if Microsoft is working on having the official source tag actually do something with generative orchestration?

At the moment it does squat and diddly for anything other than, let's call it internal tracking. Nadda, zippo and as of any conversions I have had with friends I hear no useful details on it either atm.

If these suggestions help resolve your issue, Please consider Marking the answer as such and also maybe a like.

    Thank you!

It's not working as expected. Instead please use the description sections of knowledge to describe when the agent should use this knowledge and add an example of when it should be used.

Thank you for the suggestion , but at least for me, adding information to the description had no effect on the agent's performance.

When I test the agent, I got this response:

I will try again later in case it takes some time for Copilot to process the description information.

What I have been doing is adding the metadata information shown in the above description at the top of each knowledge document. That has made a significant difference in the responses.  One chapter where I have added metadata in the Word document:
If I ask the same question on a chapter with the added metadata, it correctly responds:

Thanks for informing of what worked, I'll keep that in mind when offering advice to others on the forum of another way to solve this problem if adding descriptions doesn't work! That's good to know especially for this use case. (I actually did not mean to give the description that much info but more like Use this knowledge source to answer questions related to, that has worked for me when I run into issues with knowledge etc.)
