Submit Form Errors - Data From Related Table

I am experiencing an issue when trying to submit a form to dataverse table x. The form has a combobox in it that is linked to dataverse table y which shares a many to one relationship, and the selected field for the combobox is the record value for table y. When I try to submit the form after selecting the template from table y the combobox clears and the submit fails with an error. See screenshots below:

I feel like the value from the combobox is not being saved or patched to table x and I can't work out why.

The update value for the datacard with the combobox in it is DataCardValue10.Selected (the ccombobox).

Any idea where I might be going wrong?

Edit: This issue occurs when trying to update a record with standard comboboxes, i.e none linked to lookup tables. I am very confused, surely SubmitForm works with Dataverse? Every time I try to submit the form the comboboxes flash empty and then the submit fails?

I have found the solution - when choosing a Dataverse table as the datasource, don't then choose a View. This is what was causing the issue. I set the items of the form and comboboxes to just be the Dataverse tables and not select a view.

If anyone is able to explain to me why this was causing the issues I'd love to hear it, because I cannot figure it out.
