Question regarding image attachment option within flow

I have two flows already set up. The first one words perfectly. Submissions arrive to a Microsoft Form for articles in a newsletter. Each of these contributions does not necessarily have an image to upload, but the option is there if they do. This then links to a Sharepoint list where I have a column for the uploaded images as these attachments.

It's the second flow I am having difficulty with. I think the fact that not every contribution made to the Microsoft Form will have an image attachment is the stumbling block. I tried to add a condition to help with this but the flow only gets so far and fails at "Get attachment content". What am I doing wrong and how can I fix this? Thanks.

Using a Condition to handle responses that don't have an attachment is fine, but to work you need to have the actions that work with the attachments inside the condition. Right now you are retrieving the attachment content after the condition has been processed and closed.

Thank you for your response, Pstork1. Can you please possibly outline the correct order which I am required to set out to make this work effectively? Thank you. I am still finding my way with Power Automate so would appreciate your guidance.

Hard to say without the complete details on what you are doing in the flow. But basically the loop that takes the image content and adds it to an array variable needs to be inside the True side of the condition. If the loop outside the condition is looping through the same things as the later loop then you only need one loop. But still need the actions inside the True side of the condition.

Thank you kindly for taking the time to respond and help me, Pstork1.

I have done as you suggest but also abandoned the inclusion of "Append to array" in favour of the "Select" option.

This is how it looks currently and the flow runs successfully now which is great. However, it creates multiple Word Docs and doesn't populate into just one with several pages. Any idea how to fix that?

You are getting multiple documents because you are creating the documents in a loop. To get a single document you need to populate a repeating section within the document template. Here's an article on how to do that. Power Automate: Create Word Document With A Repeating Section

But I have a different question. I don't see anywhere in the flow that you are using the actual image content that you are retrieving in the condition. What are you doing with the content after you retrieve it?
