App timed out - Vibe AI Experience

Hello,

While building a new App using prompts with vibe.powerapps.com, I started seeing

App timed out

The app did not send a signal that it was ready and able to boot. Please ensure that the app is configured correctly to run within the platform.

Since this app is built using prompts (via the new experience) and also its is not yet published, i do not have the app artifact saved.  Hence the solution posted in this post does not apply for this problem: Solved: Anyone faced "App Timed Out" after pac code push when running via URL in Power Apps Code Apps?

I tried various ways to correct the issue using prompts to roll back the implementation done a few prompts back.  It did not resolve the issue.

Is restoring environment to a state it was in at the time I encountered the issue an option for me to get back to the state I was in INCLDING the app experience at that time.
I tried copying the environment to another isolated environment and to see if it helps but that did not copy the app artifact (understood why).   It started regenerating (with code agent) and produced a different UI experience.

Or is there any other way to fix this issue?

    Hi,

That error means the generated app never told the Power Apps host it was ready to start, which almost always points to a code-level break the agent introduced in one of the recent changes (a bad import, a broken entry point, or something failing during startup). It's not really a connection timeout, it's closer to "the app crashed before it could boot."
    On your specific questions:
Environment restore probably won't save you here, for two reasons. An unpublished vibe app you haven't saved as an artifact may not be captured in an environment backup at all, which is also why copying the environment didn't bring the app over and it just regenerated a different UI. And even if it were captured, a restore is a point-in-time snapshot, not a per-prompt undo, so you'd likely land back on the broken state rather than the exact good moment. So I wouldn't count on it.
A few things more likely to help:
    1. Rule out a transient glitch first. Hard refresh the preview, try a normal (non-incognito) browser window with third-party cookies allowed, and reload. That "didn't signal ready" message sometimes comes from the host or a flaky preview load rather than from your code.
    2. Instead of asking the agent to "roll back a few prompts," give it a targeted fix prompt, something like: "The app fails to start with a ready-signal timeout. Check the entry point and the last few changes for an error that breaks startup, and fix it." Vague rollbacks often don't cleanly undo, but pointing the agent straight at the boot failure usually works better.
    3. Look for the agent's version history or checkpoints in the vibe editor and restore the last working one if that option exists. Also check the code or build/console output for the actual startup error, that message is the fastest route to the fix.
Honest heads-up: because this is preview and the app isn't published or saved, the exact prior UI may not be fully recoverable if the agent's checkpoints don't hold it. As soon as you get back to a working version, publish and save it right away, and if you can, pull it down with pac (Code Apps support source control) so you have a real artifact to fall back on next time. I'd also report this through the preview or community channel, since losing an in-progress preview app is worth flagging to the team.
    Hope you get it back.
