Hello everyone,
I have created an app for my organization with a connection to SharePoint and I was wondering if I could turn this app into a template.
This app should be duplicated for each new project and it will have a different sharepoint site as a source but with the same structure (same lists, same columns in the lists, etc.)
Do you know if this can be done?
The idea would be to create a template and ask the user to select the sharepoint site that will be the new datasource.
I hope somebody can help, thanks in advance!
Hello @v-xida-msft,
thank you for your reply. I do not know if what I actually need to do is a test drive I will look into it a little bit more. In the meantime my scenario is the following:
In my organization everyone has an Office 365 account so everyone has also the possibility to use PowerApps.
My objective would actually be that my app could be "cloned" for every project. Each project has its own Sharepoint site with the same list structure. As you know inside our PowerApps it is possible to change the data source so I could change it but the apps needs to be modified. It would be perfect if I could create a father app that someone in my organization can use for a new project and they can specify the link of the sharepoint site without having to modify the app.
Some kind of variable that controls where the app is connected. I am probably asking too much.
Thank you!
Hi @clau0289,
Could you please share a bit more about your scenario?
Do you want to publish your own app into a template app?
If you want to publish your own app as a template app, please check and see if the following article would help in your scenario:
