There are examples of how to include a bot within SharePoint, such as this web part that connects to a Bot Framework bot using the DirectLine API. The good news is that PVA bots support exactly the same API, so you should be able to do something similar.

I appreciate that - working in a locked down SP Online environment means a process of getting a "custom" web part vetted, approved and getting a web canvas hosted somewhere. If you can get the SharePoint team to consider adding it in as a standard web part it would be very helpful. Thanks!
