Import of solution failed

I'm trying to export a solution from one development environment and import into to another.  The solution contains some canvas apps, a model-driven app and several custom CDS entities as well as system entities such as User and Account.  Export succeeds but when I attempt to import into the new environment I get an error that components are missing and not included in the solution.

The components listed as missing but required are from a sample solution in the source environment.  When creating the first environment I added the sample data (Innovation Hub, Asset Check Out etc.,) to the environment.  The destination environment does not have the sample data and I would rather not install it there.  I don't use any of these sample entities in my solution.  Is there a way to prevent my solution from requiring these sample components during export?  Is it due to a relationship between the User entity, that my solution does contain, and the Challenge entity in the Innovation Hub sample?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Dan

Please follow this link to add sample data to the target environment.

    Hi,

Thanks for the update! I am glad that you were able to get this figured out and let us know. Looking at this it appears that there must have been some dependent item on that sample solution although I'm not exactly certain why. Regardless thanks for the update, hopefully it can help future communities users.

    Regards,

    Alex

    Replying to myself...

I deleted the Innovation Hub sample solution from the originating environment and re-exported my solution.  This did the trick and I was able to import the solution into another environment.

Still don't know why the original export felt it necessary to include components from another separate solution.  But, at least I got it working now.
