HELP!!! Unable to Test the UI element after repairing the default selectors in Power Automate Desktop

Dear All,

I am recently using Power Automate Desktop (PAD) for UI automation applications and there hasnt been major issues  for many desktop applications so far.

However today, i am seeing a strange issue. I want PAD to click on OK button for a pop up window but I couldnt get it working. Whenever i try to run the flow, the pop up window crashes before the OK button is clicked and i get an error saying that the Failed to press OK button / UI element is not found out (since the pop up window has crashed).

Below is the pop up window which i am trying to test having the OK Button

To trouble shoot this issues, i tried to use repair option for the UI elements in default selector and it got repaired as shown

However, after repairing and testing the same UI selector using the Test Option , the pop up window again crashes and I am getting the below error.

And this eventually is ruining the flow .

Is this a bug after any recent update , I am pretty sure that i have worked in many pop up windows with OK buttons recently but never seen this issue where the pop up crashes and the Flow getting disturbed because of this.

I have also tried other techniques like move mouse, send keys, recording, etc but nothing helps.

It will be of great help, if someone can guide me how to prevent this crashing for this specific pop up window.

Regards

Vivek.S

If you're working with a Windows application, please adhere to the following points to prevent popup crashes:

    1. Allow you window application to load completely before executing the any further action

    2. Before clicking on any popup buttons, verify whether the window element has appeared or not. Utilize the following action to ensure that the specific window is present before executing the button click.

If the popup click functioned properly in a previous version, consider downgrading to that older version to determine if it can successfully manage this popup.

Additionally, explore whether any other popups within the same application encounter issues with this version of PAD.

Hi Deenuji, Unfortunately the window is crashing after configuring the wait for window command. Also i observed the crash happens immmediately after any command that is interacting with the pop up window is being excuted (be it OK button or move the mouse on to the pop up window or using send keys) .

Also i forgot to mention that i am using power automate remote agent to automate the flows in a virtual machines, could that be the reason for certain crashes.

    Any other suggestions?
