ve*I am creating an application that helps with the deployment of people. This starts with understanding where the deployment is to, for how long, and what types of roles are required. It might be a deployment to another country, for 3 weeks for 20 people of role A, 3 people of role B and one role C. It might be 10 different roles, with different numbers of people.
I am using sharepoint lists as my back-end of sorts.
I was thinking about using one list as the deployment information (where, how long, the number of people for each role required). This could have a static maximum of 10 roles required because it is very unlikely to be ever more than that. Designing the powerapps screen for this would be easy.
The tricky part is next - say 15 role A, 4 role B and 1 role C is needed. I need to be able to put people against each of these 20 roll slots. So potentially another list in sharepoint that creates 20 records, based on what was entered on the first screen. This would need to look at the number of roles and type needed and iterate through creating the correct number. The next screen would need to display the correct number of positions, with a dropdown of the people who are qualified and available to fill them.
Can powerapps dynamically create the form based on inputs on the previous screen? Or do I have to do something more basic and hacky and make it a massive form with more people than needed and just hide the fields that aren't needed?
Thoughts upfront are very much appreciated because redoing everything because it doesn't function as I imagined is very much a bad prospect!
