Why hasn't the GitHub Connector first and foremost, focused on getting content from the repo into PowerApps?
If there are capabilities you would like to see in the GitHub connector that are supported by available APIs but are not there, you can just create your own connector. You can even get your connector certified and publish it to the public as an independently managed connector, if you feel your use case is something others could benefit from too.Get your connector certified | Microsoft Docs
A GitHub repository integration is standard for many applications. Microsoft own GitHub, so they could easily add this integration. It already exists for Canvas. This feature should be added to Portals.
