save email attachment to user specified folder using power apps

Hi all,

I have an use case to build a canvas app where a user can select where to extract emails with attachments from (it can be a normal outlook inbox or an outlook group) and save those attachments in a user specified location.

My concern here is:

1. is it possible to build an app to let the user specify the exact inbox

2. is there a way to let the user specify the location in an app to save those attachments?

Would appreciate any kind of leads 🙂

Hello @testenv,

You can use share point to create a folder in the respective path Dynamically using Microsoft Flow but the only problem is you need to pass the url as string value, which means you cannot directly select the path to pass the same while creating apps

If you are using Dataverse as Back end then when an email receives create an Record In DV then create a folder in SP and map the files over there, the same way for SP too

So, let me get it right.
it is not possible for user to specify the destination to create a folder within canvas app. am I right?

Hello @testenv,

Yes because end user cannot know how the path will be and weather the path is correct or not. Because if they pass incorrect they will get error messages
