I have created a Google drive graph connector on 365 admin center, with inclusive rules as "Crawl only shared drive", entire crawling is done, later I am changing by turning off "Crawl only shared drive" option and provided specific folder after doing this change I have saved it is saying edit saved but when I am again opening the config it showing old settings only "Crawl only shared drive" as on and no specific folder ID.

Please help out on this
I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

This doesn't sound like expected behavior. If the portal confirms "Edit saved" but reverts to the previous configuration when you reopen it, it could indicate either a portal caching issue or that the backend isn't persisting the updated crawl scope.

    A few things I'd check:
    • Verify that there isn't an active or pending crawl when making the configuration change.
    • Try updating the connector using an InPrivate/Incognito browser session or a different browser to rule out cached portal data.
    • Confirm that the Google account used by the connector has access to the specific folder and that you're using the correct Folder ID.
    • After saving, wait a few minutes and refresh the page before reopening the configuration.
If the settings consistently revert to "Crawl only shared drive", I'd lean toward this being a product issue rather than a configuration issue. In that case, I'd recommend collecting screenshots of the saved configuration along with the connector ID and opening a Microsoft support ticket.
    Out of curiosity:

Those details may help narrow down whether this is a known limitation or an issue with updating an existing connector.

Is this a Microsoft Graph Connector for Google Drive in Microsoft 365 Admin Center?
Is this a newly created connector, or one that has already completed its initial crawl?

Great troubleshooting steps already covered above. if the issue persists after trying InPrivate mode and confirming no active crawl, this does lean toward a backend persistence bug specific to updating crawl scope on an already-crawled Google Drive connector. It is worth noting that modifying crawl rules on an existing connector (post initial crawl) can behave differently than setting them at creation time, and this may be a known limitation or regression.

@sannavajjala87 Thanks & I have tried all the trouble shooting step, but it is still not considering the change, this is microsoft graph connector on 365 admin center and I am doing this change after the initial crawl
