Deploy a solution across environments using pipelines with two technical accounts

Hi all!

I've a Power Apps solution that also includes dataflows. Two technical accounts have been created: one for the development and test environments and one for the production environment.

The promotion of the solution across the various environments must be done through pipelines. This would eliminate the advantage of having two separate accounts, since both the production and non-production accounts would need to be enabled in all environments. Otherwise, the alternative would be to maintain a single technical account, but that would not be considered a best practice.

I also tried to explore a solution using service principals in order to keep both accounts, but I found that there might be issues with dataflows and that it would not work, especially since they are included in a solution. What could I do?

Thanks

    Hi There,

The best practice is to use two accounts, use one for Non Prod and other for Prod.

It is good that you have two accounts created.

Hope this clarifies, let me know if you need any more information.

    Hope this helps...

    Hi @pavanmanideep !

The point is that if I use pipelines, I necessarily need to have the users enabled on all environments.

    Thanks

If that's the case, use one account, it must have Power Platform Administrator or Dataverse System Administrator role.

    Hope this helps.
