PowerApps and Using SharePoint Metadata for Filtering

There are old blogs (eg 12 reasons folders in SharePoint are a bad idea | SharePoint Maven) saying that using folders is a bad idea and you should really use metadata instead.

What, if any, are the delegation rules around filtering and searching using metadata ?

I am assuming the usual 500 / 2000 item limit is still in force. But if I have 2,000,000 files in a document library can I filter on the files' metadata as long as I dont bring back more that 500 / 2000 items ?

PS I think there should be a label for delegation as it is such an important topic.

Hi @NigelP ,

I have a blog on Delegation that may be useful to you. If you use Text or numbers, you will have few Delegation issues unless you want a Search (characters anywhere in String).
