Setting currency on Sub form

HI,

Powerapps, Model driven

I have a credit note form. I set the currency on the header, and I then have the line items in a separate table. I want the line items to have the same currency as the header.

I can set the currency using a business rule, but I can't set it to the same as the header table.

It seems like it would be a common issue, but I can't find anything on the internet

Thanks

Troy

Power Automate maybe? When header currency is changed, set the details currency to match? Might also need one when a new detail record is added to set the currency to the header currency.

That doesn't trigger until after the record is saved. by which time they have put in the wrong currency.

I would like it so when you set the header to USD (I'm in the UK, so the default is GBP), then when you create a detail line, it is in USD by default.

You could, perhaps, remove the ability for the user to put in currency for the detail records and then use the Power Automate flow described to do that for you. The user sets the currency at the header, that's their only choice.

That wouldn't work because you would change the value when the currency changed. If you put in form 100 (for $100) and then you update the currency the value would be changed to the USD value of £100

Ok. I guess I do not understand your requirement well enough. I hope someone else on the forum is able to guide you to a solution.

thank you for trying. but I don't think Power Automated is the right tool for this one.
