Unable to create a Desktop flow connection

I am trying to trigger a desktop flow from the cloud.

I have registered the machine through Power Automate machine runtime and can actually see the machine and the desktop flows.

When I try to create an scheduled cloud flow I receive the error message:
Some of the connections are not authorized yet. If you just created a workflow from a template, please add the authorized connections to your workflow before saving.

So I try to setup a connection for Desktop flows and get the following error message:
Connection failed: [Machine 93a8c0f6-79e3-4502-b21b-c0f00d95f6bd] Connection failed: Could not map connection MSEntraID to AD user on the target machine domain-joined. Please check with your Domain Controller admin that onpremisesSecurityIdentifier is synced with MSEntra.

Based on the error message it looks like your trying to use your Office 365 credentials, but the PC you are running the flow on isn't connected to an AD domain that is connected to Office 365.  Open a Command prompt on the PC and type WhoAmI. That will tell you if you are logged in as a local user, a local domain user, or an Office 365 user. That is the credential you need for the connection.

    Hi,

    1. Check Desktop Flow Connection

    • In your cloud flow, ensure you have a "Desktop flows" connection added

    • This connection should be configured to use your registered machine or machine group

    • If the connection shows as "Not authorized," you need to authorize it

    2. Authorize the Desktop Flow Connection

    • Click on the "Desktop flows" connection in your cloud flow

    • Select "Add new connection" if none exists

    • Choose your registered machine from the dropdown

    • Provide the credentials (username/password) for the machine

    • Test the connection to ensure it's working

    •

    3. Verify Machine Runtime Status

    • Ensure your machine is online and the Power Automate machine runtime is running

    • Check that the machine appears as "Available" in the Power Automate portal under "Machines"

    • Restart the machine runtime service if necessary

    •

    4. Check Permissions

    • Verify you have the necessary permissions to run desktop flows on the target machine

    • Ensure the user account has "Log on as a service" rights on the machine

    • The account should also have permission to run the specific desktop flow

    •

    5. Re-configure the Trigger

    • After fixing the connection, you may need to reconfigure your scheduled trigger

    • Save the flow and test it to ensure the connection is properly established

    Common Additional Issues:

    • Make sure the machine is joined to the same environment as your cloud flow

    • Verify that desktop flows are enabled in your Power Platform environment

    • Check that the machine isn't already running another desktop flow (if not configured for multiple sessions)
