Copilot gives inaccurate answers from excel file/dataverse tables

Hi,

I want to use copilot to help us answer questions about our project data. This info is found in dataverse tables that are updated regularly via a powerapp. I have gotten the prerequisite app registration set up already and the dataverse tables have been added to the knowledge sources. However I find that it isn't providing the correct answers. If I ask it to tell me what the status is for a project, it provides an incorrect answer from an unrelated field or not find the answer at all. I have attempted to add synonyms and update the glossary to capture the correct columns but it still provides incorrect responses.

I have even attempted to use excel to test if structured the data with clear column names could help but I have the same issue. My question is:

How do I get copilot to answer the questions with better accuracy based on the dataverse tables? Is there a way I can structure the data to improve both the accuracy and consistency of the response?

Hi, I have the exact same problem.

I've tried building different files related to each other, csv files, and everything I could think of to improve the accuracy of the results.

Has anyone had better results?

Copilot is getting improved each day and i feel Microsoft will surely make them work more efficiently. For this kind of error, i have been using some workarounds to provide better response.

Yes, there are some other ways that you can try.

For Dataverse:

More than using the knowledge source directly here, we tried using Custom Prompt with AI builder and connect to dataverse tables. By which we will be able to modify the responses to a larger extent.
