How to update specific Excel row in flow?

I've built a form off of an Excel sheet on my OneDrive (Business). My flow is supposed to send an approval to a specific person based on the answers of the response and once it's been approved, to update the Sales lead approval from "Pending" to "Yes".

My flow is failing at the update row section, and I get the message, "ActionFailed. An action failed. No dependent actions succeeded." with no error codes. This is a screen shot of my issue.

I've checked a lot of other community posts, and it seems like other people have a 'Row ID' field in their update row block, but it seems like mine doesn't. Could this be the issue?

This is the first time I've ever tried to use Microsoft flow, and I'm not sure what I'm doing correctly/incorrectly. Any help or advice is appreciated!

    Hi @Anonymous,

You could try to improve your Flow like this.

Since you are using Filter array, then you want to update those rows that should be filtered using the Filter array action. So the configuration in Apply_to_each should be the output of Filter array.

In addition, Update row action should not use one of the Excel online ones. You could use Update row action that Excel includes.

Because of the content of Filter array output, there is no Dynamic content to choose, you need to manually configure the contents of the field.

The approximate format is "items('Apply_to_each')['Coulumn name']".

    Special two:

Row id is configured with "items('Apply_to_each')['_PowerAppsId_']"

If the field hit contains spaces, you need to replace the space with "_x0020_", such as "items('Apply_to_each')['Coulumn_x0020_name']".

Note that these need to be edited in Expression, not directly in the field.

    Please take a try.

    Best Regards,

    Barry,

Thanks, that solved my issue! If you don't mind me asking, why is it that we only use the update row for Excel rather than the Excel online?
