Not able to generate dynamic web link from the website.

Hi All,

I am taking input from user in the form of date i.e. 7/31/2023 or 6/30/2023.

Based on user input, I want to dynamically select the link on the website.

Refer dates.jpg - this is how my drop down is appearing.

I have to click on the link based on user input.

The HTML tags and other details which I think might be relevant, I have saved in Selection_HTML.jpg.

Can anyone help me, on how can I resolve or address this issue.

I am stuck at "Add UI element" and "Click link on Web Page" is not working.

Thanks,

GI

You will need to capture several of the dropdown values as separate web UI elements and then see how their selectors differ from one another. You will then need to modify the selector to be dynamic and possibly pass a variable into the selector.

See this article for more info on doing that: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-automate/desktop-flows/build-custom-selectors#use-variables-in-a-custom-selector

Also this great video tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2PcyBa22Jj8&ab_channel=Thomas%22Shaky%22Petersen

This really seems like it was generated by LLM, as it provides generic guidance with no specifics, and provides plenty of suggestions that are completely beside the point of the topic.

    Hi @Agnius ,

Thanks, the video is amazing, and I will just have to find a way to modify as per my need.

The article is more of a theory and for someone who doesn't understand web elements will be little bit tricky.

    Regards,

    GI

    Thanks @WilliamRich91 .

Ensure that the selectors you're using to identify the HTML elements are accurate - my challenge is, I am new to web development and therefore not aware of all the technical jargons of web page. I will keep this in mind and execute 1 step at a time.

    Thanks for helping.

    Regards,

    GI
