Hi,
I’m experiencing an issue in Copilot Studio where the flow designer freezes when I try to add the “Run a prompt” action from the connector/action picker.
Steps to reproduce:
- Open Copilot Studio.
- Go to a copilot/agent that contains a flow.
- Open Flow > Designer.
- Add a new node/action.
- Search for or select the connector action named “Run a prompt”.
- Select the “Run a prompt” action.
Actual behavior:
The designer becomes unresponsive/freezes after selecting the “Run a prompt” action. I’m unable to continue configuring the flow from that point.
Expected behavior:
The “Run a prompt” action should be added to the flow, or its configuration panel should open normally.
Impact:
This blocks me from adding prompt execution into the Copilot Studio flow, so I cannot complete the flow design using this action.
Environment:
- Product: Microsoft Copilot Studio
- Area: Flow > Designer
- Action/connector: Run a prompt
- Browser: Arc(chromium)
- OS: both MacOS and Windows
- Region/environment: Asia
- Occurrence: every time
- Date observed: 2026-06-02
Troubleshooting tried:
- Refreshing the page
- Reopening the flow
- Trying another browser or private window
- Trying another OS
- Clearing cache/cookies
- Trying a different flow/environment
Could you please confirm whether this is a known issue or if there is a workaround for adding the “Run a prompt” action without the designer freezing?
I can provide screenshots or additional diagnostics if needed.
