Data Privacy and Residency

Hi all,

We would like to know the flow when a question is sent to a chatbot, mainly about data residency.
Sometimes people may ask questions containing PII information.
Does all the information processing reside in the location of the tenant? If yes, can you point us in the section of the policy that mentions it.

    Some of that will depend on your region. Copilots make use of Azure AI service. If your region doesn’t have an Azure AI service node then data may need to cross regional lines to be processed. But other than that it should stay in the cloud where your tenant is hosted. Read this FAQ https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/faqs-copilot-data-security-privacy#where-does-my-data-go
