Issue creating a two part flow

(0) ShareShare

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I'm working on a PowerApp and would like to implement a flow but it seems like no matter what I do I can't get it running.  If I force the flow I get a partial result, which is a PowerApp issue (Posted in forums there) but I'm also stuck with the flow.

Here's in a nutshell what I'm trying to accomplish

Create an save an Item, which is a survey, which is then added to a SharePoint List then the results of the survey is emailed to a specificied manager, who's been tagged in the survey.

In the flow I have

1. SharePoint Create Item

2. SharePiont Get Item

3. Send an email

I'm not sure if this is correct and could use some guidance.

Cheers,

    Hi brandonklittle,

What’s the trigger of your flow? Is it a PowerApps button or the SharePoint trigger “When an item is created”?

How is your SharePoint list configured? Does it have a column for the specified manager?

Say the flow is triggered by “SharePoint – When an item is created”, when an item is saved to SharePoint list through PowerApps, the flow will be triggered.

So I create a simple flow to test this issue. In my SharePoint list, there is a Manager column in which the email address will be saved.

Following is a screenshot of the flow, it runs succeed when an item is created.

Please take it for a reference and feel free reply if you need more help.

That looks like it may work.

The issue I'm running into now is that Flow isn't available at my list, even thought it's using the new experience.  My guess is, because we don't have preview features turned on in the SP Admin section, that flow won't show until it's GA?
