How to use search users (0365) to ask user to search for users to send approval to

I am trying to replicate the functionality in the request sign off flow with a few custom additions

I want to be able to select an item, search for a user in my organization (approver) and send an approval request to that person.

I am trying to use the search users for o365 users but that doesn't give a chance to search for a user

    Hi,

Can you show the values of your inputs and outputs to the action you are having trouble with.

You will need to insert something into the search for users or it will not return a value, such as the approvers email address, however if you already have their email address there is no need to search for them as that can be passed into approval action directly.

What can I insert? My goal is to allow the user to search for the user

    Hey,

Yea that is not possible, the search for users action, is so you can retrieve a user from Office 365 for instance - you know their email address, but want to do something with their job title, department etc.

You will need to add a People Picker on the SharePoint Item being created for them to select the approver. Then use the Approver Email dynamic data in your approval block.

    Cheers
