I am not able to search against decimal column

Search([@VW_PSA_PROJ_DETAIL_1s], SearchInput1.Text, crb81_name,crb81_task, Text(crb81_work_id))
 
Highlighted bit will not work, (work id is decicmal)

Hi

I am not sure what is happening. You said you want to search a Gallery, but you are not searching against a Gallery, you are searching against a DataSet.

So which is it?

You are right, I apologize, I was a bit frustrated with the issue last night:

Gallery is connected to a datasource that has search function on item property that uses textbox input. I cannot get search to accept Text(decimal) as a field against which the search parameter is being executed.

Wrapping the field in Text(decimal_field) does not work, using decimal_field only gives me "wrong type".

Hey,

I've encountered similar issues in the past. The search bar in Power Apps is typically only able to search for data that is of a non-numerical data type.

To resolve this, you can convert the `work_id` into a string data type in your Dataverse table or external sources. By doing this, the search functionality should be able to correctly find and display the relevant results.
