Display a SharePoint list Form based on a selection from SharePoint Library Gallery

Hello everybody,

1. I have created 1 SharePoint list (named Document metadata) and one SharePoint Library (named Documents to be Approved).

2. I have an approval flow which populates some fields in the SharePoint list (Document metadata) after the document is approved.

I have the following scenario:

I want to create a link between the SharePoint list and the Sharepoint library, so that I will be able to create an app that will show the metadata from the sharepoint list when a record from the SharePoint library is selected.

I was thinking to create a Look-up column in the SharePoint list based on the ID from the SharePoint library and use this column in the app. But unfortunately I don't have any experience of how to use the Look-up columns in PowerApps.

Any ideas will be more than welcome.

Thank you,

Claudia

    Hi @claudia

Yes, you are on the right track we need to create a Lookup from the SP list to another document library.

    Steps:

    • Go to the SP list where your meta data
    • Go to the List settings
    • Click "Create Column"
    • Enter Name and Select Lookup type
    • Select the document library from "Get Information from:"
